Collaboration
Use the discussion thread to coordinate your team’s response during an incident.
Prerequisites
- Access to the project containing the incident
Using the Discussion Thread
1. Open an Incident
Navigate to Incidents and click on an incident to open its detail view.
2. Find the Discussion Tab
The discussion thread appears in the main content area under the Discussion tab.
3. Add a Comment
Type your message in the comment input area and click Send or press Enter.
Comment Features
Rich Text Formatting Comments support Markdown formatting:
- Bold and italic text
- Code blocks and inline code
- Bullet and numbered lists
- Links
Real-Time Updates Comments appear immediately for all users viewing the incident.
Timestamps Each comment shows when it was posted and by whom.
Mentioning Team Members
Type @ followed by a team member’s name to mention them. A dropdown appears with matching users.
When you mention someone:
- They receive a notification
- The mention appears highlighted in the comment
Who Can Comment
Any user with access to the project can post comments on incidents.
When to Use Comments
Investigation updates Share findings as you investigate the issue.
Status changes Explain why you changed the status or severity.
Handoffs Document what you’ve done before handing off to another responder.
Questions Ask for help or clarification from teammates.
Result
Your comments are visible to all project members in the incident’s discussion thread. Mentioned users receive notifications.
