Calendar Overview

View maintenance schedules and holidays in a unified calendar view.

The project calendar provides a visual overview of scheduled events, including maintenance windows and holidays from configured holiday calendars.

What the Calendar Shows

The calendar displays two types of events:

Maintenance Windows

Scheduled maintenance events appear on the calendar:

  • Title and date range visible on calendar cells
  • Click to view maintenance details
  • Navigate to maintenance list for full management

Holidays

Holidays from enabled holiday calendars:

  • Country-specific holidays displayed
  • Multiple holiday calendars can be enabled
  • Holidays appear as events on their dates

Calendar Navigation

Monthly View

The calendar shows a monthly view with:

  • Current month displayed by default
  • Navigation arrows to move between months
  • Today’s date highlighted

Event Display

Events appear on their scheduled dates:

  • Maintenance windows span their date range
  • Holidays appear on their specific dates
  • Multiple events can appear on the same day

Calendar Menu

Access additional options from the calendar menu:

Option Description
Manage Holiday Calendars Add or configure holiday calendars
Toggle Calendars Enable/disable individual holiday calendars
Sync Holidays Refresh holiday data from external sources

Integration with Other Features

Maintenance

Maintenance windows created in the Maintenance section automatically appear on the calendar. This provides visibility into planned work without leaving the calendar view.

Holiday Calendars

Holiday calendars help teams plan around public holidays:

  • Avoid scheduling maintenance during holidays
  • Account for reduced staffing periods
  • Plan on-call coverage around holiday dates

Use Cases

Planning Maintenance

Before scheduling maintenance:

  1. Open the calendar
  2. Check for existing maintenance windows
  3. Check for holidays that might affect staffing
  4. Choose an appropriate window

Team Coordination

Use the calendar to coordinate across teams:

  • View when other teams have scheduled maintenance
  • Plan releases around holidays
  • Identify potential conflicts

Monthly Review

Review past and upcoming events:

  • Navigate to past months to see maintenance history
